As a leading international derivative broker based in Cambodia, Goldwell Capital (“Goldwell”) takes the responsibility to enhance the financial literacy of the country. On the 26th of April, 2018, knowing the vision of Goldwell, Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (SECC) invited Goldwell to share in their educational seminar “The Update of Derivatives Trading in Cambodia”, providing industry knowledge to the local journalists. The seminar was highlighted and honoured by starting with the welcome speech of H.E. Mr. Sou Socheat, Director General of SECC. Apart from the journalists, high ranking officers from SECC, Central Counterparties and some selected Derivative Brokerages joined the seminar.

In the welcome speech by H.E. Mr. Sou Socheat, he showed gratitude to see the willingness of industry players to contribute to the betterment of the country’s financial literacy, as well as shared some essential financial knowledge to the audience. Moreover, he acknowledged how vital this seminar is as well as how SECC is taking part in driving the local and regional economy. After such meaningful opening speech, guest speakers presented enormous amount of financial knowledge and insights to the audience.

Mr. Chea Punlok, CEO of Goldwell Capital shared and exchanged numerous ideas during the panel discussion of “Risk of Investing in Derivative Instruments and Risk Reduction Strategies”, which the fellow audiences found those insights imperative to their understanding of the industry. During the Q&A session, the swift, clear and exceedingly informative responses from Mr. Punlok gained rounds and rounds of applause from the audiences.
